Honduras



Here we are at the ruins of the ancient Maya city of Copán.
The reason for the serious expressions is that I was using the remote
to trigger the camera and we weren't sure it would work.



The hieroglyphic staircase is the longest known ancient Maya inscription.
Unfortunately, the staircase was discovered in tumble-down condition
and no one knows for sure what order the hieroglyphs should be in.
